David Moyes backed Everton's decision to drop Jack Grealish for Thursday's Carabao Cup win over Newcastle.
Grealish did not feature "because he failed to show for a training session in the build-up to the cup tie", according to Sky Sports News reporter Keith Downie.
Grealish, who is on loan from Manchester City, missed Saturday's defeat at Arsenal due to illness but had started Everton's previous three Premier League matches against Ipswich, Hull City and Chelsea.
Asked about Grealish's absence after Everton's 3-1 win over Newcastle, Moyes said: "It's something I don't really want to speak too much about. It's a club decision, so I support the decision.
“如果你想了解更多信息，你应该去俱乐部。”
埃弗顿新闻官结束了有关格里利什的进一步提问。 Asked whether the 31-year-old would be in contention for Monday's Premier League meeting with Newcastle at St James' Park, live on Sky Sports , Moyes said: "I'd never give any team news away."
Everton booked their place in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals with victory at Hill Dickinson Stadium.在丹·伯恩最后的安慰之前，詹姆斯·加纳、海登·哈克尼和蒂尔诺·巴里都取得了进球。
The Toffees will travel to Fleetwood Town in the last eight in December, after the League Two side's win over Arsenal earlier in the week.
Jarrad Branthwaite also remained unavailable for a second successive game as he continues to follow concussion protocols.
